Barunga Village Resident Testimonials

I feel like I am part of a family at Barunga by the Sea, which is such a wonderful feeling. Living in the village means I am able to pursue my love of travel and have comfort knowing my property is secure and that I have a beautiful town to come home to.

Since my father has become a resident of the Butterfly Model of Care he has resumed his love of drawing and now eagerly contributes to our conversations, whereas before he was quite introverted. The nurturing environment has transformed him.

When my grand daughters visit me at Barunga Homes, I love taking them to Gloria’s Café for coffee and cake, it’s a beautiful location for afternoon tea. The café staff are so friendly and look after us each time we call in.

I live in Port Pirie and I am thrilled that Barunga Village offers in-home care services in my town. Twice a week my care worker comes to my house to help with maintenance jobs and drives me to the shopping centre. This service allows me to stay living confidently in my own home.

The most rewarding part of my job is to see our residents live happy and dynamic lives. The culture within the staff at Barunga Village is very supportive and there is also a great volunteer group who are dedicated to organising events.
