Barunga Village, a leader in aged care services in the Mid North and Yorke Peninsula, is pleased to announce the acquisition of The Willochra Home, an aged care facility located in Crystal Brook. This acquisition marks a significant milestone in Barunga Village’s strategic vision to provide comprehensive care and support for older individuals and those living with disabilities. It is in line with the organisation’s ongoing commitment to delivering specialty care services across both residential and community settings, including behaviour support and palliative care.
As the population in the Mid North continues to age, the demand for high-quality, responsive care has grown more pressing. This expansion not only grows Barunga Village’s operations but also reinforces the organisation’s dedication to the well-being of the region.
“This acquisition reflects our ongoing mission to provide exceptional care and support to individuals in the region. It is truly a privilege to have been approached by the Diocese of Willochra, who recognised us as the right organisation to continue their legacy,” said Elizabeth Carroll, Chief Executive Officer of Barunga Village.
“It is a key part of our goal to remain a sustainable, forward-focused, community-based provider that responds innovatively to the needs of the regions we serve. With this investment, we are enhancing our capacity to deliver high-quality care while strengthening the local economy and creating meaningful employment opportunities.”
Building strong relationships with the dedicated professionals at The Willochra Home is a priority as Barunga Village moves forward in welcoming them to their staff team.
All existing services, both at Barunga Village and The Willochra Home will continue with minimal disruption, as the team remains fully committed to delivering great support to all consumers.
